Managing disruptions
We are all going through COVID-19, a worldwide pandemic, and ongoing low oil prices for us in Alberta, Canada. These unprecedented circumstances are disrupting every organization, it’s becoming more and more challenging to operate a profitable business.
Many organizations are preparing post-COVID-19 plan to regain normalcy, under the current VUCA (https://lnkd.in/g6vzdYG) conditions, organizational planning to go back to normal may not be sufficient to revive and realize expected results.
Going forward organizations should assume profound implications by demonstrating:
a) new strategies and an aligned org. structure to support them,
b) better tools and techniques,
c) technological advancement e.g., automation, updated software, etc.,
d) face-to-face and on-line collaboration/communication models,
e) effective codes and methods e.g., standards, processes, procedures, etc.
Organizations should consider HRO principles (https://lnkd.in/gs4uN8C) to become an agile progressive and resilient organization in order to minimize operational disruptions by mitigating potential risks and regain employees, customers, and investors' confidence.
Looking forward to your thoughts...
